What is SIEW about?

The Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) is an annual platform for energy professionals, policymakers and commentators to discuss and share best practices and solutions within the global energy space. First held in 2008, attendance at SIEW has grown from 2,500 to over 28,000 participants from more than 60 countries at SIEW 2016.

What are other key happenings at SIEW 2017?

The 9th Annual SIEW 2016 is the foremost platform for top policymakers, energy practitioners and commentators to discuss energy issues, strategies and solutions. SIEW brings together the world’s leading conferences, exhibitions, workshops and networking events from across the energy spectrum of oil & gas, clean and renewable energy, technology and financing - in one week, in one location.

This tenth edition of SIEW will also bring together the world's leading conferences, exhibitions and networking receptions which run concurrently throughout the week. Kicking off SIEW 2017, the SIEW Opening Keynote Address and Singapore Energy Summit will provide a platform for high-level dialogue on key energy issues and trends in 2017.

Asian Downstream WeekGas Asia Summit, and the Asia Clean Energy Summit will return as partner events at SIEW 2017 to offer fresh insights into current energy trends.

In addition, the SIEW Thinktank RoundtablesIn Dialogue with Youth, and SIEW Networking Receptions will also be held in the same week.

Show Logistics and Getting Around

How do I find my way around?

There will be directional signage, maps and ushers on-site to assist you. You may also approach the concierge on level 4 for assistance.

Are cameras allowed at the shows?

The use of a camera is allowed for the SIEW Opening Keynote Address and Singapore Energy Summit. However, you may want to check with the individual organisers regarding use of a camera at their events.

Where can I go to grab a quick lunch?

Marina Bay Sands, where SIEW 2017 activities will be held, is within a mall. A directory listing of eateries can be found here.

What does SIEW do to enhance security at the show?

SIEW works with Marina Bay Sands to ensure the daily security and fire safety management of the venue. Besides managing access to the facilities, crowd and vehicle traffic control, crime and fire prevention, security officers are trained to deal with all types of emergencies, from fire fighting to bomb threat, first aid and full-scale evacuation.
