S'pore Energy Statistics report debuts

The inaugural Singapore Energy Statistics (SES) 2011 was released today by the Energy Market Authority.  Targeted for yearly release, the SES will provide an integrated one-stop compilation of Singapore's key energy statistics--from supply to consumption and prices as well as trends in the electricity and gas sectors. The SES is part of the Energy Market Authority's broader objective of developing a more dynamic energy sector in the city-state.

For instance, statistics for electricity generation show that Singapore's fuel mix changed from 2003 to 2010, with the share of natural gas increasing over time, and petroleum products decreasing from 35 percent in 2003 to 15 percent in 2009.

This, and other energy-related findings can now be found in the SES report here.
