Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong Spoke at: Singapore Energy Lecture
Mr. Lee Hsien Loong has been Singapore's third Prime Minister since 2004. He was first elected Member of Parliament in 1984 as a candidate of the People's Action Party (PAP) in Teck Ghee Constituency and has been re-elected in five consecutive elections, most recently in 2006. Before becoming Prime Minister, Mr Lee held Ministerial appointments in Trade and Industry, Defence and Finance. He was also Deputy Prime Minister for 14 years, with responsibility for economic and civil service matters.

H.E. Abdulla Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah Deputy Premier, and Minister of Energy and Industry of the State of Qatar Spoke at: Singapore Energy Summit
Abdulla Bin Hamad is the Energy and Industry Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar, and the former President of OPEC. He is the chairman of Qatar Petroleum and its subsidiaries. His Excellency started his career in 1972 with the Ministry of Finance and Petroleum of Qatar. He held the post of Head of International and Public Relations at the Ministry from 1973. He has also served as the Director of the Office of the Minister of Finance and Petroleum, Director of the Office of the Minister of Interior and the Acting Minister of Finance and Petroleum. Since 1992, Abdulla Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah has been the Minister of Energy and Industry. In 2003 he was appointed as the Second Deputy Prime Minister and in 2007 became Deputy Prime Minister.

H.E. Ali Ibrahim Al-Naimi was appointed Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in August 1995. Prior to that, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco). Minister Al-Naimi has spent his career in energy exploration and production with Saudi Aramco, beginning in 1947, when he started work at Aramco as a foreman rising to CEO in 1988. He holds a BS degree in Geology from Lehigh University, and an MS degree in Geology from Stanford University.

Mr. Auerbach is founder and Managing Partner of Hudson Clean Energy Partners, and leads Hudson's global efforts to engage with the political and business communities to develop policy frameworks that best facilitate the scale-up of clean energy. Formerly, Mr. Auerbach was a Partner at Goldman Sachs & Co. where he co-founded the U.S. alternative energy investment business within the Special Situations Group and led several of Goldman's most successful investments in renewable energy. Alf Bjørseth earned his Doctor Phil. degree in physical chemistry from the University of Oslo, Norway in 1979.In 1994, he started ScanWafer and later three other companies, that merged into Renewable Energy Corporation (REC), where Dr. Bjorseth served as President and CEO from the start until 2005. He is now running his private company, Scatec AS, where the main objective is to establish new companies based on the latest technologies in the areas of renewable energy and advanced materials.

Dr Richard Bradley Head of the Energy Efficiency and Environment Division, International Energy Agency Spoke at: Singapore Energy Summit
Dr Richard Bradley has been the Head of the Energy Efficiency and Environment Division (EED) at the International Energy Agency in Paris since January 2004. The EED conducts analysis of energy efficiency policy issues in addition to energy/climate change interactions and policy options. The division provides analytical support to the IEA Standing Group on Long Term Co-Operation, the Energy Efficiency Working Party, and to the Annex I Experts Group.

Dato' Sri Peter Chin Fah Kui, 59, was appointed as the Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water on 10 April 2009. Before that, he was the Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities. Dato' Sri Peter Chin was called to the Bar at Gray's Inns, London in 1971. The Sarawak-born Minister commenced his political career in 1986 and among the positions he has held included being the Member of Parliament for Miri in Sarawak (1986-present), Parliamentary Secretary of Ministry of Social Welfare (1986-1990), Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and the Environment (1990- 1995), and Deputy Minister of Housing and Local Government (1995-1999).

Mr Martin Freudenhagen Head of Project Management Electrification A-Sequment, Audi AG Spoke at: Singapore Energy Summit
Martin Freudenhagen joined Audi AG after he graduated with a university degree in "Master of Automotive" in 1985. In 2003, he was called to head the Service Centre operation in Germany, which was a Euros 40 million operation with 256 employees. Three years later, Freudenhagen was sent to Mumbai in India to pioneer Audi's service network in the country. Early this year, Freudenhagen became the head of project management for Audi's electrification programme for the A-Sequment products. They include both the electrical hybrids as well as full-electric models with laterally mounted engines.
